Research Area
Ijaz Gul received a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, in 2021 and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology in 2016, from the University of Arid Agriculture Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He is a postdoctoral fellow at Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University, China. His research interests include CRIPSR- and enzyme-based virus detection, directed enzyme evolution, protein engineering, and biodegradation. Dr. Gul has authored 10 articles as a core author in reputed international journals such as TrAC-Trends in Analytical Chemistry, Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, Journal of Biotechnology, Biosensors, Bioengineering, International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, Analytical Biochemistry, and Environmental Technology & Innovation. Dr. Gul is the inventor in two patent applications filed in the field of molecular biology and health biotechnology.
